・issunは「一寸」を表しています。「一寸の虫にも五分の魂」という言葉や「一寸法師」のお話がありますが、一寸という言葉には「ちょっと」という意味があります。一寸法師の話の中では、力は弱くとも頓智や知恵をうまく働かせることで悪をやっつけるという概念がフィーチャーされています。見た目の大小にかかわらず、命というものはそもそも尊いはずです。たとえ小さい声で発せられた言葉であっても、その音の大小ではなく、その言葉がもつ本質や意味や考えをもってその言葉を受け取ることが正しい姿だと思います。そのような想いから名前を付けました。本を読んで知識を増やす旅路のそばに、一寸法師のようにお仕えして見守る存在になれたら嬉しいなと思います。

・端っこをわずかに曲げることで、本の中に入っていかないような構造になっていると同時に、そこを指でキュッと押すことで机に置いた時に摘み上げやすくなっています。

・小さい負荷で大きな価値を生み出したいという思想に基づき、廃材の有効利用として、レーザー加工をした後に残る端材から切り出して作られています。

・ヘアライン仕上げをしていますが、素材の傷や僅かな変形が残っている場合があります。是非端材ならではの「味」としてお楽しみください。

・Issun means "一寸 (=issun)". There is a Japanese proverb that goes "Even an insect as small as an inch has a soul" and a Japanese folk tale called "Issun-boshi", and the word "issun" means "a little". Issun-boshi was a very small man. In the story of Issun-boshi, the concept that he is weak but can defeat evil demons by using his wit and wisdom is featured. Regardless of how big or small it appears, life is precious to begin with. Even if words are spoken in a small voice, we think it is correct to receive the words not based on how loud they sound, but on their essence, meaning and thoughts. That is the idea behind the name. We would be happy to be a presence like Issun-boshi, serving and watching over you on your journey of reading books and increasing your knowledge.
